Our Story
My Dad has raised Hereford cattle in North Plains, OR for 40 years and has passed his love of the land and animals on to me, his youngest daughter. My husband and I now raise our two young children on the ranch. This is now our home, as well as our children’s playground. The purity of the pastures, clean water and good air quality are as important to us as the beef we raise. We are motivated to raise high-quality, ethically raised, grass-fed beef for our own family and our community.
Our calves are born here on the farm where the animals live happy, stress-free lives. We raise grass-fed-and-finished Hereford and Red Angus crosses; known for their great temperaments and superior meat quality.
We take pride in properly finishing our grass-fed animals. The calves we raise are 24-26 months when they are finished on lush spring grass. Their meat quality is excellent by finishing them at an optimum age and on high-quality grass. The cattle are humanely slaughtered here on the farm to reduce transportation stress on the animal. The animal is then sold in quarters, halves and whole beef shares.
Our cows are sustainably raised. The rotational grazing practice we use increases the organic matter in the soil. This improves the health of the cattle and other wildlife species. When grass growth slows in the winter months, the cattle are fed hay produced from our farm.
