Grass-fed beef takes a year longer to finish than grain-fed beef, which increases the cost for the producer.  We have a strong desire to sell grass-fed beef because of the health and environmental benefits.

How much freezer space will I need?

  • A quarter share will need around 6 cubic feet of freezer space
  • A half share will need around 12 cubic feet of freezer space
  • A whole beef will need around 24 cubic feet of freezer space
  • This varies based on the size of the animal, whether you order bone-in or boneless cuts, or whether your order includes soup bones or organs.

Please remember that every animal varies in size, we base our calculations on the average size. You are welcome to request our largest or smallest animal based on the amount of meat you’d like and we will try to accommodate.
