Quarter Share
- $5/lb hanging weight for a whole beef
- $5.25/lb hanging weight for a half share
- $5.50/lb hanging weight for a quarter share
- Plus $1.00/lb cut and wrap and $70 fee paid to the local butcher
- Average take home quantity for a quarter share is 100-125lbs of meat

- The “average” varies depending on the size and bone density of the animal
- Average cost for a 1/2 share is $2,100 plus $540 to the local butcher
- Average cost for a 1/4 share is $1,100 plus butcher $270 to the local butcher
- An average hanging weight for a quarter share is 175-210lbs
Grass-fed beef takes a year longer to finish than grain-fed beef, which increases the cost for the producer. We have a strong desire to sell grass-fed beef because of the health and environmental benefits.
How much freezer space will I need?
- A quarter share will need around 6 cubic feet of freezer space
- A half share will need around 12 cubic feet of freezer space
- A whole beef will need around 24 cubic feet of freezer space
- This varies based on the size of the animal, whether you order bone-in or boneless cuts, or whether your order includes soup bones or organs.
Please remember that every animal varies in size, we base our calculations on the average size. You are welcome to request our largest or smallest animal based on the amount of meat you’d like and we will try to accommodate.
